TERMS AND CONDITIONS To book the Ten day Dachstein Roundabout Adventure Hike, simply fill out the reservation form. We are usually able to confirm your reservation within 48 hours. A deposit of $500 of the total cost of the trip is required to hold a reservation. The balance of the total price is required at the start of the hike. If final payment is not received when due Hiking TheAlps.com reserves the right to cancel trip and no refund will be made on deposit. If
you must cancel your reservation, your cancellation fee will be determined
according to the following formula: Number of days prior to trip
start = Cancellation fee per person Cancellations must be made before 5:00 pm (Pacific time) on a business day. Saturdays, Sundays and legal Holidays are not considered business days. If you must postpone your tour to another scheduled date, you may do so upon payment of a $100 postponement fee per person and upon at least 60 days written notice to HikingTheAlps.com. You must reschedule your tour to occur within 52 weeks of the date of your original reservation, and there is only one postponement can be made. TRAVEL INSURANCE We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance. Because we care about your peace of mind, travel protection will be offered at the time of reservation and included on your tour invoice. Should you have to cancel your trip unexpectedly, our travel protection plan will protect your tour investment as well as provide coverage for medical, baggage and delay, and will provide 24 hour assistance. AUSTRIAN ALPINE ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP & ACCIDENT INSURANCE The activity of hiking provided by Alpine Hiking involves possible hazards and risks connected with activities conducted in the outdoors. TRAVELER'S RESPONSIBILITY As a traveler, you have responsibilities to HikingTheAlps.com, vacation facilities and other travelers that include: Selecting a trip appropriate to your interests and ability and being in sufficient health to undertake the trip. Preparing for the trip by packing appropriate clothing and equipment, acting in an appropriate and respectful manner and in accordance with the customs and laws of the country or countries in which you are traveling, making the guide aware if you feel unable to participate in a particular activity for any reason and to decline to participate. Alpine Hiking reserves the right to cancel a traveler's reservation to any tour due to acts of nature and/or any occurrence out of our control, and our sole liability shall be a full refund of the traveler's deposit or any payments made to us by traveler. EQUIPMENT AND CLOTHING All travellers are required to wear appropriate clothing and equipment. A clothing list specific to the trip you select will be provided to you. ITINERARY CHANGES HikingTheAlps.com reserves the right to alter the itinerary. Tour arrangements are sometimes made up to a year in advance. Unforeseen circumstances of any trip may require changes in trip itineraries.
